Lately, I've been attending to my health and working on things in the background โ mostly organizing/simplifying my business + content creation ish.
To name a few changes...
-
I went back to Convertkit for three specific features. EmailOctopus was simpler, and I did love it, but I love this more:
- Unlimited forms. EO only let me have three at a time. ๐ฅด I prefer using opt-in forms when I'm contributing to bundles over sending people to my shop page. ๐ค
- Prettier forms. Okay, I love the ability to create seamless pattern backgrounds in CK. ๐
- Incentive download. CK lets you add an incentive to forms that sends to new subscribers. EO doesn't have this capability at all. I got around it with automations, but those are faulty and unreliable. ๐
- I don't have a header graphic right now. I might not add one again, either. Header graphics work for some people, but I don't like them for me. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Seeing my face everywhere is super dissociating, so...yeah. No header graphics for me right now.
- I'm choosing to embrace simplicity, which is more like me anyways. โจ This template reminds me of Substack a bit ๐ค which I've tried doing, but hated because it was super third-party ๐
As a result, all of my subscribers are on one list, with different tags. ๐ง I'll only send you things I think you're genuinely interested in + make opting out of topics you're not interested in suuuper easy.
I'm honestly excited about the "better" ways to segment/etc. my list, since I'm a lifestyle content creator and have two completely different audiences. ๐
